‹MUSIC› I keep some albums on repeat when I am lazy to look for something to (re)discover, which is a shame. Lately this go-to album of mine is the Caught Stealing soundtrack by Idles.

‹EVENT› Met two friends of my from university. We ate at an overpriced Italian restaurant (Tom George in October 6 Street), the wine was of course good. The food was well-prepared but left its mark only on my wallet.

‹MOVIES› Since Béla Tarr passed away this week, I watched an interview with him. He was really wise, honest, and the closing minute is especially moving. Translated in the subtitles as “Turn on the light, son!” but in Hungarian “Gyújts világot, fiam!” is more suggestive, inviting us to dress up the literal meaning with some transcendent instruction. We lost a giant.

‹BOOKS› I started Patti Smith’s Bread of Angels in the morning before work.
